Well, it's been a crazy year it has been! We washed up on Salt Spring Island in June 2008 & after a hectic three months of renos to our new home, I was finally making beads again. What a trip it's been & not over yet. As we found this house just not quite big enough for all our needs, we have put it back up for sale & will be moving yet again.

(We really are not that flighty as a rule & spent almost 20 years in our last house.) But the good news is we found a way to get a studio up & running. Drum roll please......

It is mobile & compact, I highly recommend it for anyone who needs to make beads but doesn't have anywhere practical to do it.

Anyhoo, I am back on track & I have lots of designs &new techniques I am quite excited about.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Spring!

Linda

If you want to look at pictures of my beads you can go to my bead gallery. You may notice that the colors & designs of many of my beads are very different than the beads of other lampworkers. One of the reasons for that is I often work in glass not usually used for beadmaking

A lot of what I use for making beads is sheet glass & a lot of that sheet glass is Spectrum. I really love the colors & the effects that are only possible with this glass.

I sometimes sell finished pieces in galleries, shows and gift stores but I also sell  my bead sets on ebay & etsy

here are a few of the items I have for sale on etsy at the moment-

Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me... what a long, strange trip it's been.
